Role Summary

This is an excellent opportunity to join the newly merged entity of Comply365 and Vistair, an exciting combination of two market leaders in operational content management, safety management and data intelligence technologies serving the global aviation, defense and rail industries with a stellar customer base of 120 customers in 30 countries in 6 continents worldwide.
The UX Designer will join the existing Product Management and UX/UI Design team focusing on the combined Comply365 and Vistair product portfolio and will lead UX Design for the flagship Comply365 and Vistair operational content management products - ProAuthor and DocuNet - which we are aligning in a unified roadmap to leverage the best of both products to bring additional value and innovation to our combined customer base.

What You'll Be Doing

Software UX Design

  • Working with the Product Management and Engineering teams to design the user experience of our Operational Content Management application suite.
  • Use your analytical and creative skills to understand user needs and solve complex problems.
  • Ultimately you will make our product suite more intuitive, simple, and trusted to attract and retain customers.

User Research

  • Conducting User Research interviews with our user community and Customer Advisory Board to better understand how interfaces and workflows can be combined to enhance user experience.
  • Conducting concept and usability testing of design proposals with our user community.
  • Cultivating a community of users who can be drawn upon for input and feedback.
  • Develop user personas through research and data.
  • Disseminating feedback and insights from users to influence product direction, features and software components.
  • Leveraging innovative third-party tools and telemetry to validate hypotheses, measure success of initiatives and inform continuous improvement activities.
  • Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trend.

Design System

  • Maintaining and continuously improving our existing design system.
  • Overseeing the implementation of our design system in our next generation of OCM software suite.
  • Influencing and indoctrinating our engineering and delivery teams to make good UX decisions at every stage of the software development lifecycle.
  • Working with UX and Front-end team members on developing best practice and harmonization across our product portfolio.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role.
  • Strong portfolio of design projects.
  • Proficiency in our design toolset: Figma, Storybook, Balsamiq, Jira, Confluence. Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Analytical and creative mind.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to defend your work and influence stakeholders.
  • Willingness to iterate on work based on feedback.
A Few Nice To Haves
  • Experience of working with design systems.
  • The desire and ability to travel.
  • Sector domain experience in aviation, aerospace or defense would be a huge plus.
  • Experience of working with Document Management Systems.
  • A working knowledge of our Front-End toolset: React, Storybook, RadixUI, Styled Components(Theming).
  • Demonstrate curiosity & passion for technical and innovative concepts.
  • A background in SaaS, cloud computing and mobile technologies.
